In the vast expanse of the galaxy, a fearless baby chick with a punk attitude, Space Chiken, and her brilliant feline sidekick, Bacon the Cat, navigate epic adventures, cosmic challenges, and heartwarming moments that blend cuteness with satirical humor in short, snappy episodes perfect for social media.

Synopsis: Space Chiken’s adventures are a testament to the power of perseverance, friendship, and the thrill of discovery. This punk rock chick, adorned with a vibrant mohawk and a personality as big as the cosmos, is on a mission to return to her home planet, Avianna. Her best friend and the brains behind their operations, Bacon the Cat, is a genius navigator who wears stylish glasses and a sparkling diamond choker. Together, they travel through space in their trusty ship, the Chikster, encountering bizarre planets, quirky characters, and comedic mishaps.

Our academy is a unique, hands-on learning experience where you’ll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, gain industry-relevant skills, and build an impressive demo reel, all while being mentored by some of the best in the business.

Our flagship project, Space Chiken 🚀️*, is more than just a series—it’s your ticket to mastering the craft of animation. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to content designed to captivate audiences on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. But it’s not just about getting your work out there; it’s about growing as an artist.

With daily critiques, direct access to industry-standard tools like Maya 2024, a real working organized pipeline, offsite server, and the guidance of an Autodesk-certified instructor, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the animation pipeline in a way that no classroom can offer. Plus, when the show takes off, you’ll have the opportunity to share in the success financially! 🌈️

How We Structure the Production at FUCKYEAH Academy

To ensure a smooth and efficient production process, we’ve developed a clear structure that mirrors professional animation studios while still fostering a collaborative, educational environment:

🚨️Project Kickoff:

We start with a full project briefing, during which the vision for Space Chiken is shared, all of the kickoff materials are mastered on a mediuum account ABD placed on the shared discord server.
Each team member is assigned specific shots or tasks.
Expectations are set regarding deadlines, quality standards, and the show's overall aesthetic as a group.
We have our first set of deadlines coming up end of September.
Content will continue to be posted on social media as renders and edits are completed for each short piece.

✨️ Weekly Workflow:

Work: Assignments and tasks for the week are distributed.
Each animator knows their deliverables and the support available to them.
Production: Animators work on their assigned shots and have access to feedback through SyncSketch. Angie and other senior team members are available for quick consultations if issues arise.
Friday: Team critique sessions are held via Zoom at 11 AM AND 1 PM PDT, where animator’s work is reviewed.
Feedback is given in real time, and sessions are recorded for later reference.
If you are not ready to show anything you do not have to show.
You are encouraged to attend even if you do not have shots to show, to learn in real-time.
If Angie gets a job this schedule will change but we will find the right time for everyone.

⚙️️Production Pipeline:

Sync.com: Animators upload their work-in-progress to our dedicated server, where files are centrally managed, ensuring everyone works with the latest versions.
SyncSketch: Dailies and critiques are conducted through SyncSketch, allowing for frame-by-frame feedback that’s easy to follow and apply.
Final Rendering: Completed shots are passed through a final rendering process, where they are polished and prepared for inclusion in the episode.

⏰️Post-Production and Release:

Once all shots for an episode are completed, we move into the editing phase, where the final product is assembled.
Angie will be handling the rendering pipeline using Redshift and Premiere.
The completed episodes are scheduled for release on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, with a targeted campaign to maximize viewership.

🧠️Continuous Learning and Growth:

Throughout the production, you’ll receive ongoing training and tips, ensuring you’re constantly improving and expanding your skill set.
By the end of the production cycle, you’ll have gained technical skills and a deep understanding of the animation production process from start to finish.
You aso will get the important experience fo working with others on a production, not just workingw ith fellow students in a class.
